In October 2016 a most wonderful woman lost her fight with cancer. She left us all better people for having known her and so we are inspired to do The Big Bike Ride in her memory. Kate was a wonderful Mother, daughter, wife and friend and she was also the Head of the local primary school. She put her heart and soul into giving the school the amazing reputation it has today and in her name we want to give something back. The last few weeks of Kate's life were spent at St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich. It is impossible to describe how important this facility was in making those weeks as comfortable and dignified as possible for both Kate and her family. So all money raised will be shared between the school and St Elizabeth Hospice so that other families can receive this invaluable care.
