Story

In October 2016 a most wonderful woman lost her fight with cancer. She left us all better people for having known her and so we are inspired to do The Big Bike Ride in her memory. Kate was a wonderful Mother, daughter, wife and friend and she was also the Head of the local primary school. She put her heart and soul into giving the school the amazing reputation it has today and in her name we want to give something back.

The last few weeks of Kate's life were spent at St Elizabeth Hospice in
Ipswich. It is impossible to describe how important this facility was in making those weeks as comfortable and dignified as possible for both Kate and her family.

So all money raised will be shared between the school and St Elizabeth Hospice so that other families can receive this invaluable care.

2019 is our third Big Bike Ride and this year we will be cycling the Suffolk countryside and crossing 3 rivers in 2 days covering 100 miles.

Well - check that out - 68km! Not bad for a fat man! Thank you everyone who has sponsored me for the Big Bike Ride. If you help me get to £350, I will show you my physically perfect body. Go on, you know you want to see that! Love you all. Byeeee!

45km this weekend, but it was extremely windy and hailing directly into my eyes, so I still claim that as a step forward. Didn't feel so destroyed afterwards either, most probably because my body is now reaching the peak of physical perfection. 100 miles. Pah! Easy.

Cycled 58km with Steven Haywood last weekend - 58km! Woohoo! Spent the rest of the day too knackered to do anything though, so I'm not sure I'll be able to do three times the distance. Ahh, I'm sure it'll all be alright on the day though. How hard can it be?
